29, Social Worker
27, Product designer
Hi there! :)
We are Alisa and Emmanuel, a couple from Germany traveling the beautiful Aotearoa for a year. We came here on a working holiday visa in September and started working in Christchurch right away. We finished our job in December and are now looking for new and fun experiences.
We both grew up with animals. Here's a little bit about us:
Alisa's family has had dogs since she was in elementary school. Her first dog was a Dalmatian and the second one, Phoebe, is an Hungarian Vizsla. She is a crazy dog who needs lots of attention, so Alisa knows how to give allll the dog cuddles and make a clingy dog happy. Alisa is a vegetarian and promotes animal rights whenever she can. During her time in Australia, she volunteered at an animal sanctuary and cared for lots of different farm animals to make them feel safe and loved. When she is not traveling the world she works as a social worker in a hospital in social services.
Emmanuel grew up having a cat. His family adopted Spotty when he was just a couple of weeks old after they found him abandoned. They handfed him until he was old enough to eat. Since then the two were inseparable. After Emmanuel and Alisa got together, he discovered his love for dogs and wants nothing more than to adopt one himself when we settle back in Germany. He loves being active, so walks and hikes with a dog are perfect.
When he is not busy doing adventurous things, he works as a product designer.
We have done several house/dog sits back in Germany. That included an Irish Setter puppy with a weak bladder and a very sensitive Labradoodle, who throws up when she is nervous. Alisa's dog Phoebe has many allergies and needs tablets, ear drops and ointments daily. So we are used to handling every aspect that comes with caring for animals.
We would be happy to meet over face time and tell you more about us.
Cheers,
Alisa and Emmanuel
