Cathleen & Toby

My name is Cathleen Gey and I was born in Germany. I moved to New Zealand in 2005 and in 2015 became a New Zealand citizen. I work in a freight forwarding business as an Export operator and really enjoy my job. I have been with the same company for 16 years. I have a 6 year old son Toby and we live on a small property in North Canterbury.

We are both active, like the outdoors, go tramping, camping, fishing, love baking and gardening. Since birth, Toby has grown up with dogs and when our lovely Hungarian vizsla border collie cross named Tui died, we eventually got a border collie called Sky, which is now one year old, and is Toby’s constant companion.

Prior to Toby’s birth, I often did house sitting and enjoyed this very much. I am an animal lover and like looking after pets such as dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits etc. In recent times, Toby and I have looked after a couple of friends houses, along with their pets and plants.

We’d like to offer you our house sitting expertise, which would allow you peace of mind knowing that the security of your house, along with any animals, plants etc. would be well looked after while you were away. In return, this would give us an opportunity of living in different locations and environments, but still being close enough to my home area.

We are very reliable and if any reference is required, I would have no trouble in obtaining one for you.
