I am a single dad retired to Otago. I have been a member of Kiwi House Sitters for 6 years. I have lived and worked in Dunedin, Christchurch, and Wellington, and also lived in Papua New Guinea for 4 years. I have two sons, one who is married and lives in Auckland, and the other also lives in Auckland with his partner.
I am an accomplished handyman and happy to keep your house and garden clean and tidy. Through Kiwi House-Sitters I have looked after cats and dogs, and also sheep, goats, horses, alpaca, chooks, and ducks on lifestyle blocks in Southland, West Coast, Waikato, Wellington, and Auckland. I have also worked on friends and relatives' farms. Two or three times a year over the last 3 years I have also been looking after an 800-acre beef & sheep farm in North Canterbury, including 5 farm dogs - which I work with the stock on occasion, and the Jack Russell house dog,
Over the years our family have had cats and dogs, chooks, roosters, peacocks, rabbits, and a kune kune pig.
I am reliable and trustworthy, fit and healthy, and non-smoker. When I am applying for house-sitting, I will tell you more about myself including a photo and will include contact details of previous house-owners who will be happy to provide a reference.

Craig looked after our Pets and Property over the Easter period. He did a great job and was very easy-going and a pleasure to deal with. We have no hesitation in recommending Craig as a sitter.
Craig looked after our dog and house well. Baylee was happy and relaxed when we got home, and the house was nice and tidy. Confidently would recommend Craig, it was very low stress and great communication.
Craig was a fantastic sitter. The dogs were very happy with him and the house was immaculate! Just as we were leaving one of the dogs had a health issue flare up that would need vet monitoring while we were away. Craig had no issue with taking over this care. In fact, the vet nurses were all really impressed with Craig and how he treated the dogs as though they were his own. Craig is a very lovely person and we highly recommend him as a sitter.
Craig was a wonderful house sitter, Great with all the animals and t the house looked immaculate on return He dropped us off and picked us up from the airport. and we had good communication with him. We were very pleased to have had Craig looking after our property and animals and hope to get him back again.
We found Craig to be a great! Our dog looked so happy when we returned and the house was immaculate.

Craig looked after our property and two horses one dog and one cat for three wet wintery weeks in the Waikato....
Considering that it rained almost every day and the horses were on a specific grazing and exercise routine they were in very good condition, feet and all. All the animals were happy and in perfect condition on our return.
The lodge that was Craig's accommodation while he was here was impeccably clean and tidy. Everything was in pristine condition and I am very grateful to him.

Craig arrived a few days before I left and was a very considerate adaptable guest as I rushed around preparing to leave
He took good care of the house and two cats while I was away and took on a big mulching task in the garden... which was a great help.

There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
