Hello!! We are Diego and Paola, a well-traveled couple with experience in home/pet care in our respective hometowns in Spain, Chile and Sweden but mostly during our travels around the US, Australia, and now New Zealand. Diego is a school/college teacher (I've taught Primary, Middle, and Secondary), currently teaching college PE and Health in Wellington, and Paola is working on her Computer Science Bachelor's at Victoria University. We moved from Australia to the wonderful New Zealand about four years ago and even tough we're settled in Welly, we truly enjoy having adventures surrounded by loving pets, so happy to pet sit when a convenient opportunity arises.
We are caring and responsible people that like to interact with not only the animals but with the owners and locals. Our pet sits are always a good experience to meet new furry friends and give them the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. Dogs and cats use to love us because we are very friendly and really like to know them and enjoy them.
Besides, we also love to travel and we just think it's the best way to discover new places and cultures from a local perspective. If we are the lucky ones taking care of your pets, please have peace of mind that they will be treated the best... even knowing that we'll never be able to replace their owners :)
Diego and Paulo were absolutely wonderful to have stay taking care of our home and animals. They were very well organised and attentive of our pets and were confident to ask any questions that concerned them of our pets they were unsure of. They looked after our home and animals beautifully and were exceptionally reliable and genuinely lovely people.
I can not recommend Diego and Paola highly enough. They have set a very high benchmark as my first house and pet sitters. They made a special trip to meet me and Archie, my Border Collie, prior to the sit and from that moment I knew they would do a wonderful job. I posted an ad last week for a 4 week stay this weekend. I found a sitter, but that fell through 2 days before my departure.
Diego and Paola stepped up and accepted the gig. We did a video chat, and I have them a tour of the place and introduced them to the cats.
They managed to let themselves in and tell me they made themselves at home.

Diego and Paola looked after our house and pets for a week in April. I was very nervous as hadn't left my anxious dog with a sitter, and she doesn't deal well with separation from me. I also have an elderly cat and another cat with health problems required constant medication, so I needed people with a lot of patience and dedication. Diego and Paola were great house sitters and pet sitters including dealing well with a situation where they were out walking our dog and she broke her lead and jumped into a lake chasing after a duck!

Diego and Paola have spent nearly week looking after my property and around 120 chooks in my absence. As well as being wonderful people that I warmed to on sight, they were conscientious in caring for my livestock and garden, and left my home cleaner than they found it. Diego and Paola are the kindest people who took wonderful care of my 7 foster cats and also kept my place clean - I highly recommend them to anyone wanting their home and pets cared for. They came to me at the last minute when my previous sitter pulled out suddenly which made it possible for me to go away at all - I am extremely grateful for this and for the fact that when I got home the litter trays were clean and my house didn't require any work! Absolutely use these guys without question!
Diego & Paola helped us out with a house sit/pet sit for 3 days in June 2019 while we had a quick trip away. They are a friendly couple and we were happy with their care of our dog and our home which was in good order, clean and tidy on our return. Thank you.
Diego & Paola looked after our house and pets for about 10 days over Easter. They were wonderful, trustworthy housesitters. Our house was left clean and tidy and our pets well fed and looked after. Communication with them was always forthcoming. We were very grateful to have them look after our house and animals and would highly recommend them.

Diego and Paola were both so personable when i first met them and greeted my 2 dogs with such enthusiasm. I immediately felt at ease. My 2 dogs are my children and I left feeling reassured that they would take great care of them. And they did. I received messages with photos while away and came home to 2 very happy dogs. Diego and Paola did an outstanding job in taking care of our cats, house, garden and pool while we were away for five weeks. Paola and Diego stayed with us for a couple of weeks prior to our departure so that the cats could get to know them and so that we could show them the many tasks that needed to be done in our absence. As this was our first time having pet sitters in, we were hesitant. But Diego and Paola certainly made the experience worthwhile. We returned from holidays to a spotless house and a very contented, spoilt, happy cat. The communication leading up to the house sit was excellent keeping both parties informed. Diego and Paola are a lovely and friendly couple and we would totally recommend them to other house hosts as well as welcoming them back into our home anytime. We wish them well.
We had Diego and Paola do a sort sit for us. Diego and Paola kept in contact the whole time, so we knew our pets were well looked after. Our lovely dog Honey can require a lot of attention which they were more than happy to provide. Our house and pets were well looked after and we wouldn't hesitate to have them back.
