Anna & Jeremy

Hello! We are Anna and Jeremy. We are currently living and working in Antarctica, and will be in New Zealand starting in February and are looking for some house sits!

We first started pet sitting with family and friends: Jeremy as a small child talking on cats, dogs, fish, insects small birds, reptiles and farm animals, when friends in the neighborhood were out of town. Jeremy grew up with cats, fish and ducks taking responsibility for them as the one most desired animals in his family. Over the years Jeremy has fostered puppies and kittens and with the most impactful experience being a part of Anna's amazing chocolate lab that changed his life for ever. Anna is an avid animal lover and has taken any opportunity to care for animals at a super young age to adulthood taking on all types of animals for friends and family. From dogs and cats to hamsters, guinea pigs and gerbils she grew up with a full house of responsibility. As an adult, Anna adopted and raised two puppies, a lovable goofy German Shepherd and a chocolate lab who was too smart for his own good. Under her care, they grew into amazing animals that brought light to everyone that came in contact with them. They lived wonderful long lives, the Shepherd passing at 12 and the lab at 16. That loss has left us both with lots of extra animal love to give.

Most recently Anna and Jeremy's experience grew as they had an amazing opportunity taking care of a ranch for two months that housed chickens, sheep, rare holstien cows, horses, small pony a ranch dog, cat and a rescue donkey. During that time Jeremy became a chicken whisperer and Anna gained the trust of the rescue donkey in a way that the owners said they had not seen before!

Jeremy has had a fulfilling career over two decades building and remodeling high end homes. Anna spent the past 11 years managing software implementation projects. We were recently offered an amazing opportunity to work with the National Science Foundation in Antarctica. We took a hiatus from our careers and are in Antarctica now! We hope to spend some time in New Zealand and Australia afterwards. Anna spent two years project managing in Wellington and wants to catch up with old friends and show Jeremy the amazing citys, art and beautiful parks the two countries have to offer.

We are also avid travelers and our greatest love is long expeditions. We spent three months kayaking the Inside Passage of North America and have completed several month long cycling trips in the US and Mexico.

Anna and I have had the great privilege to serve as foster resource parents for children in New Mexico USA. This is as hard as it is rewarding and we cherish our time spent helping these vulnerable kids feel safe and loved for the time they are in our lives.

We own 10 acres in Santa Fe New Mexico USA on which sits our beloved house. We spent two years remodeling the inside and out and feel incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful place to call home. We will care for your home, pets and community exactly as we care for ours and you can feel confident of returning to find everything just as you’d left it or even better.
