Kia Ora,

I’m Celia, a 28 year old animal lover based in Christchurch ready to help make your time away from home stress free. I work full time in research for a seed production company 30 mins out of the city and am happy to travel throughout the Christchurch City/Selwyn/Waimakariri area.
I am currently house sitting full time while I save for a house deposit, and enjoy the opportunity to care for various furry family members while not in the position to have my own.

I have years of experience house sitting, and have cared for nearly all furry, scaly, and feathered friends. I grew up with a menagerie of pets (dogs, cats, chooks, goldfish, horses, even a couple of cockatiels) on a farm, so am also familiar with caring for farm animals (I have a real soft spot for calves and chickens and would love to spend time with yours). I also enjoy spending time in the garden, and am more than happy to keep it ticking over while you’re away.

I genuinely enjoy getting to know the pets I look after, and I do my best to work to their schedule to minimise disruptions. I understand that letting someone you’ve just met into your home can be unsettling, but be assured I will respect your space and care for it as if it was my own. As I’m new to this website I am happy to provide references from private house sits on request.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Celia as a house sitter. She looked after my cockatiel Charlie and did a wonderful job of taking care of him and my home. Celia responded to all messages and was communicative about the plans we made. We visited with her before the sit and enjoyed her company. Our cats and some were well looked after. Celia had the bedding washed and dried when we got home and had taken some items from the freezer for me as I was having family over for dinner that night. I would invite Celia back to cat and house sit any time. Thank you Celia.
