Kia ora!

My name is Emma, and I live in Mount Maunganui with my partner, Ray. We aren't due to move into our new rental until next summer and are looking for pet sitting opportunities in the meantime.

We both work from home - I'm a project manager at a wee company that works with NZ charities to understand their social impact, and work remotely full-time. Ray works in the surf industry and is mostly laptop based at home.

We love to enjoy the outdoors surfing, kayaking and tramping, as well as the more peaceful moments doing yoga, cooking and painting.

We both feel connected to animals and have grown up alongside dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens. As we move around so regularly, we haven't be able to have pets ourselves for a few years, so would love the opportunity to love and care for yours. They bring a constant joy to the everyday, and we miss having them in our lives!

We regularly pet sit for friends in the Mount - especially Flash the cat and Ruby our friends rescue dog - and treat all animals with the respect and kindness that all living beings deserve.

As well as looking after your pets, we will of course keep your home clean and tidy, and we are more than happy to help with anything that requires a bit of upkeep whilst you're away - Ray can be quite the handyman!

Highly recommend Emma and Ray as house and pet sitters. They are great communicators and such a lovely couple. We came home to our house spotlessly clean. Our dog was looked after extremely well. They brought him on some great adventures and sent us lovely snaps of him throughout the time we were away. Hopefully you're available next time we go away. Many thanks from the three of us.

I was delighted to have had Emma and Ray take care of my home, garden and my dog 'Theo', I felt happy being away knowing all was in good hands. 'Theo' loved them as they took him for lovely walks - I'm sure he missed them once they left 😒 I would love to have them house sit for me again, they are lovely and honest and I came home to a clean house.

I left my German Shephard for the first time with a stranger and i couldn't fault the care and attention both my dogs received from Emma. My place was a pleasure to come home to and I really appreciated the way Emma sent little updates each day on my dogs. I would highly recommend them and would love to have them back anytime.

Emma and Ray were fantastic. They were friendly and easy to talk to and very happy to work in with us. They came and saw the property and met the pets a few weeks before the sit. We came home to a tidy house and remarkably clean and very happy pets. The dogs were very calm as they had obviously had plenty of exercise. We had a restful holiday, at ease with the knowledge that our pets and home were in safe hands. Thanks so much!

Emma and Ray were friendly and we liked them the moment we met. They rescued us when our arranged house sitters let us down at the last minute. I would recommend Emma and Ray for house-sitting with dog care. From the earliest communication they showed a genuine interest and concern for the animals they would be caring for. . And their approach was super friendly so that both my dogs felt instantly at ease with them. The fact that Emma works from home is also a big plus as they weren't needing to be left long periods on their own. When I returned home the dogs were relaxed and the house clean and tidy.
